What notifications will I receive about the order?
You will receive notification that the order is confirmed, that the order is picked up by the Instacart driver, if the order is running late and that the order has been delivered.
Are there fees for using Delivery?
Yes, there is a flat $9.99 fee on all delivery orders.
What is the policy for tipping?
Tipping is optional but encouraged. 100% of this tip goes to your driver.
What are your delivery hours?
Delivery hours are: 11AM-1PM, 1PM-3PM, 3PM-5PM, 5PM-7PM.
Who is doing the shopping and delivery?
Big Y has partnered with Instacart to deliver groceries to your home. Delivery orders will be shopped by Big Y employees and then picked up by an Instacart driver to deliver to your home.
How will I know when my order is on its way?
You will receive a text message once your order has been picked up by the Instacart driver and is on its way.
When will my order arrive?
Your order will arrive within your 2-hour chosen delivery time frame. In the event of a delay, we will contact you.
What will happen to my order if I'm not home?
There is a check box to leave the order in a safe place. If this is not checked your order will be returned to the store and you will be charged a restocking fee. If you want your order left in a safe spot, check the box when placing the order.
What if I have a question or problem with my order?

Where can I leave a delivery note for the driver?
At checkout, there is space to leave a note for the Instacart driver.
